100 M Dash 10.8 Peregoy (Olivet)
Pat Peregoy once again proved that the American dream is a reality — small town boy makes it big. Running the longer 100 meters for the first time in his life, Pat raced to a 10.8 League victory. And remember, Pat never ran the 100 in high school.

200 M Dash 21.66 Peregoy (Olivet)
The 200 meter was the same story as the 100 meters, but this time it was more convincing. In the last 10 yards of the race Pat pulled away from the field winning in an impressive time of 21.66. Second place time was 21.99.

This time qualifies Pat for the National Championships in Grand Rapids. It should also be mentioned that last year the Division III Nationals was won in 21.6!


Mile Relay 3:20.74 (Olivet)
... After his disastrous 800 M, Kelvin Lewis was too exhausted to run his leg on the Mile Relay. At the spur of the moment Pat Peregoy - who had already started celebrating his "big double" - was summoned by Coach Larkins. With little warm-up, Pat rose to the task and ran a beautiful lead-off leg. When Pat passed the baton, the Comets were in second place and battling for first...
